Hey, L.A. Swifties, Taylor Swift expands Eras tour, including two more shows at SoFi Stadium
Taylor Swift fans have plenty of reasons to rejoice, given the fact that the singer has been on hiatus since giving birth to her third child. And, it turns out, not much has changed since then.
Just last week, the pop star performed in the city of San Francisco, and while the set list included three of her biggest hits, it also included two older tunes — “Mean” and “You Belong With Me,” both from the singer’s 2004 album Reputation.
Now, we have reason to believe that Swift will perform at two more venues this summer, at The Forum in Inglewood, and the L.A. Live Music & Entertainment Center in Culver City.
At Friday’s show, Swift will be on stage with an acoustic set, with none of her usual backing band members. Fans will, of course, get a first look at the two upcoming shows, as Swift’s rep shares (via NME):
“Taylor Swift is touring with a full live band of string musicians who will provide her with the feel of a big band while she performs in a stripped-down setting. The artists will include violinist Kristin Wilkinson, violist Jason Hoss, and guitarist Adam Ayan and will be joined by saxophonist Ben Monder. The song list for the upcoming tour will include new songs she has been collaborating on with a slew of exciting musicians and vocalists.”
A source close to the matter notes that Swift “is in no hurry to release new music,” and that the touring “will be a chance for Swift fans to hear more songs from her new album in a different and very intimate setting.”
